Welcome to North Canberra Osteo!
In this time of Covid 19 we are taking extra precautions to ensure the wellbeing of our staff and patients. We are cleaning and sanitising our clinic rooms between patients, and all our linen is fresh for each appointment and washed with disinfectant. Hand sanitiser is available in every room and at reception, and masks are required to be worn (we have masks available at reception if you don’t have one). The day before your appointment you’ll receive an sms to your phone with a quick covid screen, just to check you’re well and safe to visit the clinic.
For Adults and Teens:
Osteopathy is a manual therapy and involves ‘hands on’ treatment. We recommend you wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes. Treatment gowns are available at the clinic.
Please email us or bring to your appointment any relevant scans and lab results.
We regret that we do not treat Workcover (Comcare patients excepted), DVA or TAC patients. We have Hicaps at the clinic and can process private health rebates and medicare rebates on the spot.
We have lots of techniques we use during a paediatric consult to relax and reassure our little patients, but of course it can be a bit strange for them to have a new person in their space. We’ve found it really helps to have the primary carer present for the consult. For babies who are bottle fed, please bring a bottle along with you and if possible schedule their feed for during the appointment. If you child uses a dummy, please bring it along. And for all babies please bring along their blue book so we can check their birth details and growth charts. For toddlers, please bring in their favourite toy and some snacks. Kindy and school age kids often love listening to a book during their treatment. We have toys at the clinic for our little patients which are disinfected after every use.
Do you want to bring your baby in for Osteo, but can’t afford the fees? Please talk to us. It’s a joy to provide care for babies that have had difficult births, and we see all the time what a difference manual therapy can make. Babies in foster care are welcome at the clinic free of charge.
Once you have booked in with us you’ll be sent a confirmation, and a link to our new patient form via sms. Or, if you want to come in early, we have QR codes you can scan at the clinic to fill out our new patient forms on your phone.
