Dr Anna Walton, Registered Osteopath
Anna is on maternity leave until July 2018, leaving her osteopathic patients in the very capable hands of Dr Betsy Foskett, Registered Osteopath and Dr Lauren Bowman, Registered Osteopath.
Anna is a registered osteopath with nearly two decades of experience. She completed a five-year double degree at RMIT University in Melbourne in 1998. Anna also has a graduate certificate in neonatal and infant manual therapy, and is a qualified infant massage instructor. For a number of years she was an assistant lecturer in osteopathic technique at Victoria University.
Anna has practiced in clinics across Australia and around the world, having spent two years working in Ireland and six months volunteering in Papua New Guinea. She works with a wide variety of patients from babies to the elderly, and has trained in paediatrics, obstetrics and cranial osteopathy.

Dr Betsy Foskett, Registered Osteopath
Dr Betsy Foskett is a fully-registered and qualified Osteopath with a wide range of experience. She enjoys treating a variety of problems, including jaw dysfunction, neck pain and foot pain. Betsy has a particular interest in geriatric care and is our go – to person at the clinic for patients who need sports rehabilitation.
Having treated people in Australia and England – she spent time at the British School of Osteopathy in London – Betsy is versed in a range of techniques which can help to ease pain and discomfort.
Ensuring a holistic approach, Betsy holds additional qualifications in dry needling, massage, sports injury treatment, and cupping.

Dr Lauren Bowman, Registered Osteopath
Lauren completed her studies in Osteopathic Medicine from RMIT, graduating with a triple degree. After spending eight years studying and practicing in Melbourne and Brisbane, Lauren returned to Canberra where she was born and raised, to join North Canberra Osteopathy.
Lauren’s philosophy is to treat each patient as a unique individual. Her treatments are guided by experience, and are a combined approach of both direct structural and indirect osteopathic techniques. There is a focus on education and tailoring rehabilitation and management programs for each patient, enabling them to take control of their own health journey.
Lauren is passionate about the role of an osteopath in promoting women’s health, from acute or chronic conditions to birthing and beyond. She completed further study in the application of osteopathy for various women’s health complaints including endometriosis, pre- and post-natal periods, post-surgery, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
With a personal sporting background, Lauren also has a keen interest in sports injury treatment, posture, flexibility, strength, rehabilitation and exercise prescription for optimal and enhanced performance. Having supported both amateur and elite athletes, she loves to combine her knowledge of sports with her skills as an osteopath.
Lauren treats a wide variety of common musculoskeletal complains such as headaches, chronic pain, back and neck pain, and disc injuries, as well as children’s health issues. She fully believes in supporting all individuals to find balance and freedom to move.

Leah Dumas, Remedial Massage Therapist
Leah is currently on maternity leave.
Leah is a diploma trained remedial massage therapist who has been in practice since 2005. Leah is also a qualified nutritionist with a degree in Health Science. Leah is experienced in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy and myofascial release, stretching and cupping, as well as nutritional and lifestyle advice for managing musculoskeletal pain. Leah’s special interests are in the treatment of low back pain, and headaches. She enjoys building relationships with a wide variety of clients and helping her clients achieve a sense of well being and rejuvenation.

Pearl van der Straaten, Remedial Massage Therapist and Craniosacral Therapist
Remedial massage aims to improve and repair damage to sore muscles, joints and tendons that may be a result of injury or chronic conditions. It uses a variety of techniques such as massage, myofascial release, passive stretching, lymphatic drainage and trigger point release. These techniques may be gentle, firm, deep or shallow depending on your preference and the issue requiring treatment. These issues may be such things as muscle tightness/stiffness and pain, neck and back pain, headaches, whiplash, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, arthritis, a reduction in mobility and sports injuries.
Pearl is an experienced, qualified remedial massage therapist trained in kinesiology and cranio-sacral therapy (including paediatric). As a teacher and trainer and many years working in the educational, community and health areas she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her treatments and consultations. She has a special interest in improving the physical health and wellbeing of people of all ages.

Luke Bartolomei, Shiatsu Therapist and Tui-na practitioner
With over 10 years in professional practice, Luke specialises in alleviating back pain, stiff neck and shoulders, stress and anxiety amongst other things. He’s a trained eastern remedial massage therapist, specifically, Shiatsu and Tui-na. This includes acupressure and a range of mobilising stretches and massage applied through those stretches. Shiatsu is oil free and delivered through your own clothing. You will receive tailored attention to specific aches and pains as well as a holistic full body treatment that will leave you feeling refreshed, relaxed and energised. You can expect your massage to be as strong and deep or as gentle and subtle as required, usually both. Luke is happy to provide 1 hour appointments, but prefers to treat patients for 1.5 or 2 hours. Luke also has experience treating people intensively, for example daily treatments over a week or two, which can make a profound shift in people’s health.
